All The Way with JTP
All The Way is a theatre play by Robert Schenkkan is about President Lyndon B. Johnson just as he takes over the Presidency after the assassination of John F. Kennedy. The story takes you through the years as he works to make Congress enact the Civil Rights Act of 1964, alongside Martin Luther King Jr.
Raleigh's Justice Theatre Project asked for designed materials and a marketing campaign that spoke to the heart of the story and highlighted actor Jerry Sipp, who stars as LBJ.
The design was inspired by the typographical look of protest signs and LBJ's re-election campaign. Molding the two worlds together to paint the feeling of the time of the play. Also played on LBJ's famous eccentric personality for the headlines.
I also had the chance to take Jerry's portraits in my studio to use for the campaign and video used on stage in the play.
